Joseph... Our first rescue...
Hi, I'm Joseph and I am about six weeks old. Its hard to know for sure though because I was left on my own in a dumpster. Its unsure if I had been dropped off there or if I had been born into a life of scavaging for food during the cold November nights but I was reasonably healthy considering my living conditions. My new foster mommy found me in the dumpster as she was leaving her job about three nights ago. I smelled of gasoline and was covered in grease.
That first night with Matt and Tab was a little scary for me. I didn't want anything to do with anyone. I hid under a chair most of the night and jumped at every noise I heard. The five bigger cats didn't seem to like having me in their home either. They hissed and growled and one even struck me with her paw!
I've been with Matt and Tabitha for three days now and they say I'm like a whole new kitten. If I'm not loving on Matt or Tab, I'm playing with one of my new feline friends who after a little time getting use to me have really taken to my playfullness. It took only one day to litter box train me. I did have a couple accidents the first night but thats understandable. Because I'm still so young my kitten food must be softened with water before I can eat it. After coming out of my shell, I have shown my new friends that I am one big ball of playful energy and a very loving kitten to everyone around me.
As much as I love my new friends I can not stay with them forever. Matthew and Tabitha are willing to keep me as long as it takes to avoid sending me to the local pound but we all know that I have my own family out there somewhere. If you or someone you know are willing and able to give me the home I need then please contact Matthew and Tabitha through email or leave a comment on this page. I never want to spend another night alone in the cold so it is very important I go to a family that will allow me to be an inside cat and who will give me all the love I need and deserve.
Sincerely,
Joseph
